THE NARD OIL REJUVENATES AND HELPS SPIRITUAL EVOLUTION
By Mikael Zayat
Nard (Nardostachys jatamansi), sometimes known as SpikeNard, is native to northern India and Nepal and has been highly prized in Middle East and Mediterranean regions since antiquity. It is mentioned in the Bible in the song of Solomon. In three gospels we find the story of Mary Magdalena anointing Christ’s feet with ‘Nard’.
Physically, the oil has an effect on the person as a whole. It is helpful for allergic skin reactions and all kinds of rashes. It balances the skin’s physiology and rejuvenates it. Nard is wonderful when dealing with tension and anxiety. It stimulates and supports the immune and the nervous system. Like Frankincense, Nard assists people in letting go of fear and old emotional wounds. It is very good for chakra, energy or auric massage. It helps people nearing death. Nard acts on the brain and helps regenerate mental functions when you lack concentration.
Spiritually, Nard helps realize that our life on earth is not separated from the true purpose of creation. It helps strengthen the alchemy between matter and spirit, symbolized by the cosmic serpent that links the beginning and the end by biting its tail. Nard reveals the secret path to the seeker who tries hard with an open heart. The exceptional quality of its spiritual forces is expressed in this flower which comes directly from its roots.
Just put 2 to 3 drops on your heart chakra in the morning for connecting you to your inner self or 2 drops of our blend: “Grounding” on each foot to ground you or your clients.

What is a Therapeutic Grade ESSENTIAL OIL? by Mikael Zayat*
While aromatherapy may involve training and in-depth knowledge of the properties and effects of essential oils, it may also be practiced simply and safely to add beautiful aromas to our environment each day.
Many people are not aware that there are several grades of essential oils, and that less than 1% of the oils that come into the U.S. can be considered of the highest grade, or therapeutic grade for the use of aromatherapy. The lower grades are used for industrial purpose (fragrance -including most candles!- food, laundry detergents, toiletry). They can have an appealing fragrance, but they are synthetic and usually cut with toxic solvents. However, they will not produce the beneficial biochemical and electromagnetic effects that therapeutic grade essential oils will. In fact, if they have been adulterated, they can be harmful instead of beneficial!
A therapeutic grade oil must use a state of the art distillation process which must be at low pressure, and therefore takes much more time. It is done with natural spring water and exclusively in stainless steel distiller. Then the oil is stored to age from 2 weeks to five months in a cool dark place to gain its full aroma. For example, the industrial grade lavender takes about 30' to distill 85% of the oil but it can take one hour and a half more to extract the 15% remaining oil. The therapeutic grade lavender would distill for at least two hours to extract the various molecules.
"The extra time and care are worth it. Therapeutic grade oils support us on all levels simultaneously: they work with our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual being to heal, balance, integrate and expand our well-being and awareness, gradually raising our frequencies and grounding joy in our bodies.

THE ULTIMATE GIFT: A ROSE BOUQUET IN A BOTTLE! By Mikael Zayat
The Rose has traditionally been associated with Venus, goddess of love and beauty. To the Christian mystics, it was the flower of the Virgin Mary.
There are thousands of different roses. Rose damascena, also known as the Bulgarian or Turkish rose is normally used to produce Rose essential oil. It is almost clear in color and will solidify if placed in a cool place.
The Rosa Centifolia or cabbage rose is another variety which is normally produced in Morocco and Tunisia. Its oil has a reddish orange color. Both rose oils are very costly -- each drop is equivalent to 25 beautiful roses -- but they are regularly adulterated by profit-hungry companies, so be wary and buy only from a reliable aromatherapy source.
The rose petals are hand-picked before the dew evaporates. They are then “distilled” to produce the rose essential oil or rose absolute done by “solvent extraction”.
Of all the essential oils, Rose oil has the highest vibration. It radiates out love, whether physical or unconditional. If you experience grief, rose oil will help open the heart chakra again, helping one to recover faster. Rose also strengthens the heart energy and helps radiate unconditional love. It helps healing birth traumas. It is a gentle aphrodisiac, facilitates creativity, and spiritualizes sexual encounters.
Place a drop on the heart or dilute it with a good massage oil and spread it all over your body. It can make a divine gift for the holiday season. $24 or $43/ml

CONIFERS: THE MOST ANCIENT ANTIBIOTIC, by Mikael Zayat*
Conifers are among the most ancient species of the plant kingdom and the first known to produce Essential oils. Cedar was used for construction of boats and housing that were built to last. This wood resisted fungus and bacteria due to its high content of Essential oil.
Conifers are in fact pro-biotic (pro means for or to promote and bio means life) while anti-biotics stands for against life. Conifers’ Essential oils, not only eliminate bacteria and fungus but promote a healthy life by boosting the immune system It also helps improve our positive and joyful thinking besides refilling our energy reserve.
1. Diffusing 10-15 drops of Balsam Fir or a conifer blend (“Conifer”, “Voice of the Ancestors”, “Indian Spirit”, “Christmas Joy”, “Oxygen Up”) will not only purify the air but will leave a very pleasant aroma in your living room. If you are tired and need a quick boost, apply 5-10 drops of those blends to your lower back and massage it.
2. White Cedar, also known as Arborvitae, or Cedar leaf can help fight arthritis and will get rid of toenail fungus and warts.
3. Canadian Tsuga, also known as Hemlock Fir will help fight lung ailments and is a good support during any transition period: new job, moving, birth, marriage, and most of all when people are dying or getting divorce and need to let go. (“Fearless”, “Protection” and “Rainbow Bridge” are three of our blends)
4. 10 drops of Red Pine in a massage oil are excellent for bad circulation (cold feet etc.)
