Following Drunvalo Melchizedek article on subtle energy (november issue), we search for tools bringing it. Essential oils are one of them. So Marie went to interview Lutie Larsen who is a researcher and teacher in the field of Radionics.

INTERVIEW WITH Lutie Larsen* by Marie Allizon** January 2001

Marie: What is the definition of subtle energy for you?

Lutie: We all have a sense of the meaning of subtle - in the background, less obvious, more yin-like - but I think we misunderstand the meaning of energy in this context. Most of us think of energy as force like the motor of a car starting and moving, or the energy activated by turning a switch. I would like to define subtle energy in a different way. I feel that subtle energy is more information than force, or perhaps it could be called intelligent energy/force. The subtle energy fields were called Formative Force Fields by Rudolf Steiner and George de la Warr spoke of the "Formative Rays" coming from the "Counterpart body".
The great physicist David Bohm once gave an illustration of Quantum Potential by describing a huge airplane flying on autopilot and having a computer on the earth radio a correction in course to the airplane’s computer. That radio wave carried information that changed the course of the airplane. It did demonstrate force but from information not physical force.

Subtle energy is like that and the subtle energy we use in healing and strengthening the physical form, I believe is more information than force. Coherent subtle energy activates manifestation. It is truly a formative or creative force in a subtle way. Every physical form has a subtle field -a complex informational pattern. And the physical form and the subtle pattern are inherently linked.
This is David Bohm’s "Implicate Order" linked with the tangible, physical "Explicate Order". Once we understand that this subtle information is the manifesting pattern or formative force we can begin to understand the importance of supporting health and wellbeing. Our focus will change from what is wrong and placing all our attention on dis-ease, disharmony to what is right, coherent, harmonious and synergistic. We will start building, supporting instead of trying to fix by tearing down.
This is where essential oils come into the picture. Their complex highly resonant energy is natural and wholesome. They are the essence of the healing plant. They heal, build health and support transformation.

Marie: Can you give some examples?

Lutie: I picked two oils I have used a lot these last few months, on myself and on others with the massage methods. I picked Canadian Tsuga and the Mikael Zayat blend** "Peace". The rates I scanned are in the Delawarr format and they are called "recognition rates" and are used to identify and tune the pattern associated with the oil.

Using these recognition settings I measured the intensity or vitality of the samples I have several times. The scale I normally use in radionics is the vitality scale for measuring resonance or coherence of the energy/ information.

Both oils measure in the high energy range and they both raise my "vitality" 5 to 8 points this morning. The Tsuga even more than the Peace. They are compatible with each other, synergistic (meaning that they don’t weaken the pattern of the other and actually enhance it.) I would guess that the blend contains Tsuga because of the affinity between these two.

Marie: Yes Canadian Tsuga has a significant amount ot it. Can you explain the different ways of measuring essential oils?

Lutie:The frequencies for the Gary Young oils you found in an article, were, I believe, taken with an instrument developed by Bruce Tainio of Tainio Technologies. They are, as I understand, frequencies based on the human body frequencies that he, Bruce, has evolved using this frequency detector. I have used the detector at the farm and took one to the NY lab.
Our conclusion was that it was very sensitive and difficult to use if one wanted repeatable readings. I tried using it in a consistent manner keeping as many things "still" as possible. I was not able to get a consistent series of repeatable measurement. I feel that Nature is full of variables which are constantly changing and that this is why I had difficulty. It would be great for me to be able to check the progress of my crops using a subtle energy device. I will talk more with Bruce about this in February at his conference.
The frequencies that I use in my work are "linking frequencies". That is the essence of radionics. These "linking frequencies" are used to analyze the energy or informational patterns of a physical substance (or form) They are also used to monitor the intensity or amplitude of these patterns. and they can be used to "tune" or strengthen these patterns.
Radionic frequencies, we call them "rates" or settings, are a way to look at the subtle energy fields in a very specific way. As we come to appreciate these inherent fields we can use them in a more conscious way to bring coherence or resonance into the physical form, or substance.

For example a radionic rate or setting for a specific essential oil would link with the subtle patterns of that oil. (We sometimes call this the oils "frequency" for want of a better word.) We check the single oil with this setting to get its "vitality" or resonance to its pattern. This is how I check the quality or what I call "energy" of the oil, (aside from my nose!) It is really a measure of coherency.

With that rate (setting) a physical sample, say a blend containing that oil, could be analyzed. We would get not a physical percentage but a coherency reading of that specific pattern. If it is an excellent blend that measurement will be high on the scale. If any of the oils (in the blend) are not compatible with the other oils (subtle field) patterns the measurement will be lower. I like to see the blend resonate at least as high as the individual ingredients measure and good synergy will bring them even higher. That way as the person uses and responds to the oils, he actually helps to "step them up" or tune them but with his own energy and in concert with his own attunement.

I do not think the frequency measurements that Bruce is making are of this nature. I think they are more like English researcher, Lethbridge developed with the minerals and metals to place physical substances into energy compatible levels so that one then has an energy reference to pick the substances or organized lifeforms that are on the same level to work with. It is a way to create compatibility and harmony.

Marie: Have you checked some of Mikael Zayat’s oils?

Lutie: Yes, the Chakra Set is Mikael’s and the oils are his blends, and he has his own unique way of achieving a balance for each of the chakras using a blend of essential oils. Blends carry their own unique pattern and consciousness. Part of that consciousness is the consciousness of the one who created them. The settings I scanned for Mikael’s Chakra set are also in the Delawarr format and are "Condition rates" They use a special first number and have a complimentary or shadow setting. I felt (my intuition led me to feel) that this format was the best way to capture the pattern/consciousness of these oil blends. A blend can be identified with a rate just as the individual oils are, especially when that blend has matured and become part of the collective consciousness.
The individual oils are all (no matter who prepares them) identifiable by an inherent archetypal pattern. You know this. Radionic "identification rates" link with these archetypal patterns. If the setting is right on, the linking perfect then we can use the information in many ways.
We can broadcast the pattern. We can im-print it into water or another structured base. (These bases act as carriers of the subtle pattern) And interestingly enough the physical form is very responsive to the archetypal energy even at a distance!
The Raindrop Therapy is promoted by the Young Living Oils but is only a procedure or technique of applying oils , massage and acupressure. Young Living has adapted it to their oils for massage therapists but many are using the technique with other essential oil brands. I liked the technique so well that I started looking for the most energetically coherent oils I could find.

Looking and testing. I was thrilled with the subtle energy quality of the MZ oils. They have fine highly resonant archetypal patterns. They are so clean and clear, perfect for my work in radionics. With the exception of one important blend, I have used the MZ oils in my Raindrop Therapy Set and research. The exception is a Young Living blend called "Valor" that has an ancient archetype for alignment and helps the etheric and physical fields line up. {I hear he just created "balance").  I do recommend and sell these oils as a set but the therapy is still just a technique and what works for the one using it is most important.

Marie: Besides using your equipment, how can you verify the quality of the subtle energy of oils? Mikael likes to say "Your nose knows"!

Lutie: I totally agree "Your nose knows"! and this is the best advise for anyone trying to find the best oils. Buy them and compare them. The single oils are easy because even they might seem to smell different there is a similar "pattern" > (that archetype pattern we spoke of) each one will have. Once you recognize that –I would say "link with it"—you can easily determine the quality and the clearness of the oil. Radionics has given me some other skills that I use (other than measuring the coherence on an instrument using a linking rate) I have learned to ‘feel" and "see" sometimes even "hear" and "taste" this pattern. I can follow it and its action in a living form. It is hard to explain. Actually many people are able to do the same thing but for them it is instinctive rather than conscious. I love to observe response and I have learned to watch from within. In a fine situation one watches for a fine response and fine responses reach deep into the subtle fields. They align and correct if the life form is open. This is why I need time with the oils and the experience of observing them. This is a large part of my "research technique".

Marie: Were Clear and Upliftment (two of my favorites) in your chakra set?

Lutie: Clear and Upliftment were in the Chakra set and I did scan Condition rates for them. They are CLEAR 100.5735 and UPLIFTMENT 80.45886. I was attracted to CLEAR from the very first experience with Mikael’s blends. Some of the things I have observed about CLEAR are:
1) it has a clearing effect through all the subtle fields, etheric, mental, emotional, astral, and even the higher spiritual subtle bodies, especially the causal if it is open.
2) I think we are constantly taking on varying degrees of incoherent patterns (out of our environment, physical, mental, emotional) simply because we are exposed to them all the time and we don’t always recognize them, release them. CLEAR is a pattern that carries that inherent purpose of clearing these incoherent patterns and restoring light, and it is full of light.

UPLIFTMENT is a blend that is also full of light. I sense it also carries patterns of sound. My observation of Upliftment is that it supports our stretch toward light and truth. In the radionic Chakra Set we recommend that these patterns be used only when they are appropriate (when the lifeform calls for them). They are very fine and do reach deep into the subtle fields. I would like Mikael to develop a blend for WHITE LIGHT. White light offers a gentle protection in a sanctuary of light. I think it would work well with these two. (Mikael just created a White Light blend).

Marie: I would appreciate a reading on Pineal and Pituitary if you have not done that.

Lutie: Again I must clarify that these numbers (settings) are not "readings"or measurements of the oils but linking codes that in radionics we use to get measurements. They are like phone numbers that put you in communication with the subject (specific essential oil or blend). If I were making a reading on my pineal and pituitary I would use the setting 6-87 for the Pituitary and 68-97 for the Pineal. I would also check my general vitality 9-49 and compare them.
The organ measurements should read within 5 points of the general vitality measurement. Thus my measurements would mean something to me. (For example my pituitary is measuring more than 5 points of my general vitality. Just a little but enough to give it some attention.) What I think you are asking for is a setting for the MZ blends Pituitary and Pineal and perhaps a measurement of those blends (either specific, the ones I have or generally The ones anywhere that respond to that unique pattern.) The ID rate for the MZ blend Pituitary gland is 0.110.8 (Those numbers are one, ten, eight). My sample of this oil measures 55 and a general measurement is 54.2. The ID rate for the MZ blend Pineal gland is 0.36762 and my sample measures 56 and general measurement is 55.1 I also scanned condition settings for these two oils.

Marie: Why would you scan a condition setting for these oils?

Lutie: In my study of the Delawarr system of radionics and particularly studying their experiments that led to the development and use of the Delawarr Camera, I came to appreciate the difference between establishing a link with the manifesting patterns of a life form, the identifying or recognition Rates and linking with condition or action of that form in its physical. The de la Warrs used these "condition rates" to identify many dis-ease conditions. They were able to demonstrate them with "pictures". Those pictures got them into a lot of trouble because they could identify a specific condition by linking with the information of that condition and they could do it at a distance. The Camera’s exposed "picture" would confirm (to the affirmative or negate) the presence of that condition pattern. (One can see some of these pictures in Langston Day’s book, "New World’s Beyond theAtom")
Anyway one of the techniques they used in the experiments that produced these pictures (and also in the lab with their clients) was to use both a condition rate and a recognition rate. Usually they were for different informational fields. For example they might use an inflammation setting, a condition, set on their diagnostic instrument with say, the elbow identification rate.

Thus here the researcher was trying to link with (find) a very specific subtle field pattern that resonated with inflammation and the elbow, a condition in a specific location.

I really pondered on this. At the time I was developing rates in the Delawarr format for horticulture and agriculture. There were a number of links I wanted to create and wasn’t sure which type of setting would be most appropriate or useful. One of these I remember was "tilth". Now tilth is the structure of the soil, a good blend between sand, clay and silt. So I needed an identification setting, a recognition rate for tilth. But tilth is also the "health" of the soil, a condition. I needed a linking setting for that subtle pattern. Another thing about radionic patterns is that they can be "resonated". In Radionics we call this "treatment" or "broadcasting the rate". It is the way we use these settings (aside from using them to monitor) It is a lot like tuning. Just like an orchestra takes time to tune itself before a concert.

In radionics we tune the information of the life form or substance. Now to your question, "Why would you scan a condition setting for these oils?" I would scan a condition rate so that I could link with and measure the condition of this blend of oils, are they synergistic? are they coherent with the purpose for which they were created? and 2) with this link I can tune these oils, this unique blend, and help to align it with its purpose.Note on yesterday: The condition setting for MZ Pineal gland blend is 30.65753 and the condition setting for MZ Pituitary gland blend is 50.73633. I told you that upon testing the subtle fields of my pituitary and finding it out of balance (and low) I used the blend twice, afternoon and evening (on the temples and at the base of the occipital bone) on myself with a positive response. (My pituitary field is measuring in balance and the slight headache is gone.)

Marie: I looked at your website briefly and saw a Wonderful farm, but did not seem to see the oils sets you sell. Can you give me a direct link!?

Lutie: The oil sets (with instruction booklets) are described in the Little Farm Catalogue and available on request through the website*. They have been through our "introductory phase" this Fall. I took them to New York in September and then on to England and Scotland in October/November. I also introduced them at a professional health course in Seattle in December.
